JustRead Chrome Extension

Terms of Use

Last updated: May 17, 2026. These Terms of Use apply to the JustRead Chrome extension.

What JustRead is

JustRead is a local reader-mode and speed-reading tool. It extracts the article from the current browser tab, displays it in a cleaner reader view, and can play it back one word or chunk at a time.

Your content

You keep all rights to the pages, articles, notes, and other content you open with JustRead. JustRead does not claim ownership of that content and does not upload it to a JustRead server.

You are responsible for using JustRead only with content you are allowed to access and read.

Acceptable use

Do not use JustRead to break laws, bypass access controls, violate website terms, or interfere with websites, browsers, devices, or other users.

Privacy

JustRead's privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy.

No account or paid service

JustRead currently has no account system, subscription, payment flow, or hosted user-data service.

Availability and changes

JustRead is provided as a lightweight browser tool. Features may change, break, or be removed as browsers, websites, and Chrome extension policies change.

Disclaimers

JustRead is provided "as is" and "as available." It is not guaranteed to extract every page correctly, preserve every layout, or work on every website.
